Paul Sargent

Paul Sargent has worked as a financier in institutional and private commercial real estate lending for the past thirty years. His areas of expertise include loan origination, underwriting, portfolio-asset management, development, structured finance, and the secondary loan market. Mr. Sargent has been involved in the funding of over $1 billion worth of real estate loans in his lending career.

Institutionally, Mr. Sargent has placed loans with more than fifty different organizations, including; life companies, pension funds, commercial banks and private money sources. Along with being a correspondent to life companies, he has also served as an Advisor to Arizona’s second largest pension fund (Public Safety Personnel Retirement System, $6 billion in assets), on real estate loan participations. Previously, he was a senior officer with Bridge Financial Corp. (an AMEX public company), Chase Bank (New York and Arizona), Mellon Bank and Pickrell Mortgage.

With regard to private lending, Mr. Sargent has managed various family office and partnership funds, along with investing his own funds. He was a co-founder and principal of Oasis Financial as well as other private lenders and structured finance companies, licensed by the Arizona Department of Finance. Paul received his MBA degree from Arizona State University after obtaining a BA from Utah State University.
